When Sharin Hall came to me wanting an essential oil blend that would help Stella (Hello Stella!) get thru her battle with EHI-1 I went to work putting together these oils for her! We named it Stella Strong! to convey the strength and tenacity of this amazing mare!! She never quit trying and I am so happy that this blend helped her thru this stressful and traumatic time! This blend supports the body energetically and therapeutically helping to reduce inflammation and pain reducing inflamed nerve endings both neurologically and in the facia/muscles! (The facia is the soft, connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, and muscle fiber in place.

Biblically, these oils were used for anointing and pruification.

Stella Strong!:

Myrrh:

Calms the mind, Brings tranquility, Grounding, Soothes those who are prone to overthinking and distraction, Brings inner stillness and a sense of peace.

The wonderful skin healing and anti-inflammatory properties of myrrh are due to its very significant percentage of sesquiterpenes. It has been used traditionally for treating wounds, mouth ulcers, aches, fractures, stomach disorders, microbial infections, and inflammatory diseases.

Frankincense:

Supports reflection and introspection, Supports emotional healing on all leavels. Quites the mind. Supports focused attention and tranquility. Counters the effects of stress.

• Immune support: Frankincense can be used in blends designed to maintain and enhance health, and support the immune system. It blends well with lavender, tea tree, lemon, ravintsara, and/or vetiver. It may have antiviral potential given the high percentage of alpha pinene.
  
  
• Mood and cognition: Frankincense can help calm stress and focus the mind, and can deepen meditation. It can be diffused or inhaled directly. The α-pinene may reduce stress and anxiety, support cognition and promote sleep.
  
  
• Musculoskeletal: Frankincense is excellent for tension in head and neck muscles, so can be helpful for headaches. It’s also very useful for inflammation and joint pain. For this, you can blend it with siberian fir, juniper berry, and/or eucalyptus.
  
  
• Respiratory: People suffering from asthma or ongoing respiratory conditions can benefit from using frankincense on a regular basis in many forms: oil or cream on their chest, added to shampoo, inhaled from a tissue or diffuser, or in a bath or foot soak. Pinene-rich essential oils are often associated with beneficial effects on the respiratory system.

Spikenard:

Calms the heart. Stabilizes the mind. Settles the emotions.

• Anxiety: For anxiety, insomnia, and a general feeling of being out of sorts, this oil can provide wonderful support. Spikenard calms the heart, relaxes the mind and excessive thinking, and inspires peaceful emotions. It’s been used successfully to deal with tachycardia.
• Musculoskeletal: Spikenard is a great anti-inflammatory. For muscle and joint inflammation, and stress-related aches and pains and tension, spikenard can provide a cooling base note in massage blends.

Cedarwood:

Increases endurance during difficult times! Supports confidence in challenging situations. Grounding.

• Respiratory: Very effective in treating coughs and respiratory concerns. It’s great to blend into a chest cream to relieve congestion. It has a stimulating effect on the respiratory system and is especially useful when an infection is present.
• Warming

• Stress: Cedarwood has relaxing, sedative actions that are perfect for calming stress.

• Urinary: Considered a tonic for the urinary system.

• Wound healing: It has cicatrisant and anti-inflammatory properties. Coupled with its antimicrobial actions, these make it a very useful oil for healing superficial lesions.

This is a very versatile blend that can be used by rubbing on nostrils and points that show sensitivity or reactions. It is safe for horse or human. Use as often as needed.
